Jeffrey Dixon, DDS
I have a passion for orthodontics. My job allows me to make a difference in the lives of others while simultaneously working with a diverse group of people and patients. Typically, each orthodontic patient is unique and presents dental challenges that are unlike other patients. I treat my patients with dignity and respect, because that is how I would expect my orthodontist to treat me! This high degree of individual attention we provide to our patients is one of the best parts of my job.
Education and Continuing Education
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Buffalo, where I also earned my Doctor of Dental Science. I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my Certificate of Orthodontics.
I attend regular continuing education courses to keep up with the latest in techniques. I have given multiple original presentations for dentists and dental hygienists for continuing education, and I enjoy learning from my colleagues as they also learn from me.
In the Practice
I enjoy working in an upbeat, positive environment where patients are excited about the care they are receiving and looking forward to the changes in their smiles! I also enjoy knowing that I've made a small difference in the lives of children and adults who often gain confidence and health from the results of orthodontic treatment.
My patients are unique. I enjoy meeting each patient and learning about them. I've been fortunate enough to be exposed to many interesting and talented people in my job, and I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
The office is a combination orthodontic and pediatric dental practice. The fact that many of our staff is dually trained to manage pediatric dentistry creates an especially child friendly, upbeat environmen.
The team is a group of well-trained clinical and administrative staff members dedicated to making the patient experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The team’s management of children comes naturally to them since they are well trained in pediatric dentistry.
Family Life
I am originally from Vestal, NY, and love living in our community. My wife of 13 years, Amy, is a native of Westfield, Massachusetts. We have two girls, ages four and seven. I love watching my kids learn! They are now learning how to catch fish, which is my favorite hobby, and it’s amazing to see them get into it. When I’m not fly fishing with my daughters, I enjoy cycling and other forms of exercise. I am also active in the Catholic Church.
